Glidecam smoothes the way

Glidecam is kicking off 2016 by bringing the XR-Pro and the iGlide II to market

Glidecam is kicking off 2016 by bringing the XR-Pro and the iGlide II to market.

In fact, attendees of BVE will be the first people outside of the company to have the opportunity to interact with these new stabilisers first hand. There may even be a contest that challenges the strength abilities of willing participants.

The XR-Pro is the lowest priced hand-held stabiliser that supports camera and accessories weighing up to 10lbs/4.5kg to be offered by Glidecam. The XR-Pro comes with four steel camera platform weight plates, which is the feature that enables the use of light cameras and allows for such a wide weight support range

The iGlide II is replacing the original iGlide as a more advanced model: this small and light hand-held stabiliser can support cameras up to 3lbs/1.36kg. It has the same gimbal that is unique to Glidecam, and it also comes with four small steel camera platform weight plates should the operator want to add more mass and more inertia with the use of extremely light cameras.

As always, visitors of the booth will be able to test drive any of the Glidecam products on display.
