Cinegy on board with Trams

Cinegy is partnering with UK-based systems integrator and reseller, Trams at BVE 2017. Trams will feature Cinegy Air Pro version 11, the latest of Cinegy’s real-time playout server and multi-channel broadcast automation software.

Cinegy Air Pro integrates HEVC stream encoding with high-end NVidia graphics cards, including the ability to offload HEVC and H.264 stream encoding to the NVidia GPU. It also allows users to stream UHD using only off-the-shelf commodity hardware. Version 11 also includes a loudness limiter, meaning that Dolby E encoding, and decoding, internal or external means of performing compliance, decoding, or subtitling can be eliminated.

Cinegy sales executive Blake Mergler said, “Cinegy Air Pro and the rest of our new range, including Cinegy News, are perfectly suited for the typical requirements of BVE delegates, whom I look forward to seeing at the ExCeL.”

Version 11 also sports Cinegy’s next-generation of in-built channel branding, which works in a cloud or virtual environment. This is designed to make it easier to control multiple channels that air the same content but require regionalised commercials and branding.

Trams managing director Warren Peel added, “We will once again feature our QsmartStorage consultancy capabilities, as well as how tightly Cinegy software integrates with our Quantum Stornext Pro product for production workflow optimisation.”
