WPP confirms sale of The Farm

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed

WPP has officially announced it has sold post production house The Farm to LA-based company Picture Shop.

Financial terms of the deal have not been revealed.

According to a statement from WPP, the sale is in line with the company’s new strategy, as first set out in December 2018.

The Emmy Award-winning post production house has bases in Manchester, London, Bristol and Los Angeles, and works on shows including The X Factor and The Grand Tour.

In its statement WPP said: “We would like to thank all those involved with The Farm Group, and in particular co-founders Nicky Sargent and Vikki Dunn, for their contribution to WPP over more than 20 years. We wish them well as they begin their next chapter of growth with Picture Shop.”

Rumours of a deal between the two companies first surfaced at the beginning of this week.
