Wochit has appointed Colm Curneen as its new director of business development.
Curneen joins the social video creation platform from Storyful, a social media intelligence and new agency acquired by News Corp in 2013.
Armed with over 15 years’ experience in the industry, Curneen will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships and continuing to grow an international portfolio of clients and overseeing teams within the company.
Prior to his time at Storyful, Curneen was head of business development at Global Editors Network, and has also worked for The New York Times and The Financial Times.
Wochit was founded in 2012 by Dror Ginzberg and aims to enable publishers, newsrooms and content creators to produce short-form videos around trending topics.
