Whisper Group ‘working with advisors on sale’

The company is said to be working with KPMG on a deal that could include the sale of a majority or minority stake

Whisper Group, which produces Channel 4’s Paralympics coverage and was recently selected as host broadcaster for the French Open tennis championship, is reportedly in talks over a sale.

According to Sky News, the company is open to a range of options, including a sale of a majority or minority stake. The report says KPMG is acting as an advisor in the process.

The company is best known for its work in sport, but it also produces game shows such as ITV’s Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy as well as esports events and documentaries.

Whisper employs about 300 people, and has operations in London, Cardiff, Manchester and Riyadh.

The company was founded by chief executive, Sunil Patel, alongside former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard and broadcaster Jake Humphrey.

According to Sky, Whisper has declined to comment on the report.
