Systems architect and service provider Wellen+Nöthen will now operate under the brand name Qvest Media. The Wellen+Nöthen Group already comprises entities in Dubai and Singapore and is now transferring its brand to Europe. The legal transition from Wellen+Nöthen to Qvest Media will be effective from the beginning of next month.
Gunnar Wellen and Peter Nöthen (pictured), founders and shareholders of Wellen+Nöthen, hope that changing the company name will help achieve a consistent profile for Wellen+Nöthen Group worldwide. “By taking this step to now operate under the Qvest Media brand also in Europe, we are taking into account our successful company development over the last few years. We laid the foundations for this development in 2008 by establishing Qvest Media in Dubai and by introducing this brand for our non-European activities,” explained Nöthen. Two further locations have been added since then, with Qvest Media in Singapore and Wellen+Nöthen in Munich. The number of staff has almost trebled from 60 to more than 170 employees.
“By focusing on the brand name Qvest Media, we are achieving more transparency for our international customers and partners as well as a common identity for our employees. Streamlining the brand architecture also helps us to strengthen our company in terms of its communications,” added Nöthen. The new name is also a signal to customers, suppliers and partners to view the Group as a global enterprise.
Qvest Media offers services in the design, development, implementation and operational support of media technology infrastructure, as well as supplying dry-hire equipment and systems solutions for live broadcasting. Its customer base includes international broadcasters, telco providers and media networks including ARD and ZDF, Sky, RTL, Al Jazeera, Deutsche Telekom, and Turner Broadcasting.
The new brand will be officially presented at IBC in Amsterdam, running from 11 to 15 September.
