Vitec Videocom set to acquire Autocue

Vitec Videocom, a division of the Vitec Group, has reached a conditional agreement to acquire teleprompting solutions provider Autocue.

Vitec Videocom, a division of the Vitec Group, has reached a conditional agreement to acquire teleprompting solutions provider Autocue.

The acquisition, which is yet to be formalised, would enhance the portfolio of brands within Vitec’s Videocom division that already includes prompting solutions provider Autoscript.

Autocue, known for its QTV teleprompters, has recently released a range of new standard and mobile prompting solutions for iPad and iPhone for the UK and US markets.

The company, established in 1955, boasts a range of teleprompting hardware and software products that will be brought in to complement Vitec Videocom’s portfolio of products for the broadcast, pro-videography, corporate and public sectors.

Vitec Videocom owns brands such as Anton/Bauer, Autoscript, Camera Corps, Litepanels, OConnor, Petrol Bags, Sachtler, Vinten and Vinten Radamec.
