US networks, Netflix take part in A Day Without Women

The initiative is being supported by talent agencies including Paradigm, United Talent Agency and Open Road Films

NBC, Netflix and MTV are marking International Women’s Day by allowing female members of staff to take the day off.

The initiative, called A Day Without Women, is being supported across Hollywood by talent agencies including Paradigm and United Talent Agency as well as Open Road Films.

MTV is marking the day with a special logo, flipping the M into a red W for women across its broadcast and social media channels.

Created by the organisers of January Women’s March, A Day Without a Woman aims for people to come together for equity, justice and the human rights of women and all gender-oppressed people, through a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity.
