UKTV dramatically reshuffles executive team

Five new channel director roles created

UKTV has restructured its team to create five channel director posts.

Emma Ayech, Luke Hales, Gerald Casey, Adam Collings and Vicky Walker have all been promoted to the new positions, effective immediately.

As part of the reshuffle, commercial partnerships chief Sally Quick has left the company, while Emma Sparks has been named head of acquisitions.

Meredith Coral has been named head of co-production, having been promoted from head of business development and programme distribution.

Coproductions will fall under the oversight of UKTV CCO Simon Michaelides, who is leading a new programme funding unit.

Former Really, Home, Good Food and Eden general manager, Ayech is now in charge of Drama and Alibi, while Hales, who is currently overseeing Ayech’s previous networks as interim general manager, become channel director of Dave.

Dave programming manager Casey becomes channel chief of Gold and Yesterday, and W’s head of programming Collings is upped to channel director, adding Really to his duties too.

Elsewhere, Drama programming manager Walker is named channels boss at Home, Good Food and Eden.
