TVBEurope has announced the final entries for this year’s TVBAwards in the Sustainability category.
TVBEurope has been working in conjunction with BAFTA, winner of last year’s award for its albert+ initiative (pictured), to identify a selection of productions and companies to have made notable strides in sustainable production practices to reduce their environmental impact, and also improve cost efficiencies.
The nominees for this year’s award are as follows:
Carnival Films and Downton Abbey for its widespread use of low energy lighting
Shine Soho and Celebrity MasterChef for introducing several sustainable initiatives resulting in three tonnes of CO₂ saved and significant cost savings across the series
ITV Studios and Coronation Street for moving to a renewable energy tariff
Panalux for its new, industry-first biodiesel generator
BBC Natural History Unit and Springwatch for the use of low carbon generators
The 2015 awards ceremony takes place at Bloomsbury Ballroom on Thursday, 22 October. You can book your tickets from the TVBAwards website.
