TVBAwards nominations deadline extended

Projects, companies and individuals can now be nominated for an awards or awards, until midnight next Wednesday 5 August

Pre-IBC preparations, summer holidays and understaffed offices – July can be a busy time and as a result we have extended the deadline for entries to the TVBAwards. Projects, companies and individuals can now be nominated for an awards or awards, until midnight next Wednesday 5 August. The Lifetime Achievement award winner will be selected by our panel of independent judges, but the remaining 17 honours are open for public entry.

Nominations can be completed by completing a form on the TVBAwards website, where you can also add video footage or relevant media. Voting is open to all projects/programmes completed and aired during the 12 months from 1 August, 2014 to 31 July, 2015. The one exception to this rule is the new start-up/entrepreneur award, which has a scope of three years to ensure inclusivity for recently founded companies.

The awards are project-based to recognise those providing superior services to the industry with regards to the production and delivery of media content, and also to its management. Categories include Live Production, Production and Post, Infrastructure and TVBEverywhere. Our special awards recognise unique achievements across a variety of disciplines: outstanding broadcast; innovation and R&D for outstanding technical achievement; start up/entrepreneur; PR, marketing and communications; and sustainability.

Nominations in each category must specify exactly which company, or combination of companies, is being put forward for the award.

This year’s event takes place at the 1920s art-deco Bloomsbury Ballroom in central London, on Thursday 22 October, opening with a drinks reception, followed by a dinner and awards presentation and closing with an after party.

The TVBAwards 2014 was hailed as a resounding success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without sponsors Ericsson, IBC and Manor Marketing. For more information regarding sponsorship opportunities for this year’s event, contact contact Steve Connolly [email protected], Ben Ewles [email protected], or Richard Carr rcarr@nbmedia.

Tickets are on sale now via the TVBAwards website.
