The ceremony for the TVBAwards 2016 is just one week away.

Sponsored by IBC, Netgem and Celebro Media, the third annual event takes place on 20 October at the Grand Connaught Rooms, where awards will be presented to eighteen worthy winners throughout the broadcast industry.

Projects shortlisted for an award include high-profile sporting achievements such as the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, UEFA Euro 2016 and the Le Mans 24 Hour race, with Veset and Accedo going head to head for the start-up/rising star award.

John Holton, the former chairman of the IBC Exhibition Committee, who retired from the position earlier this year, is to receive the marquee Lifetime Achievement honour.

The TVBAwards aims to recognise a broad spectrum of work and achievement across the broadcast and media industry. Three awards are available in each of the six categories, including our new Hall of Fame initiative, which has been created to honour the individuals, organisations, and technical advancements that have helped – and are helping – to shape the broadcast and media technology sector as we know it today.

The full shortlist can be found here, with tickets now available from the TVBAwards website.
