Sony to move European operations to the Netherlands in case of no-deal Brexit

Takes effect on 29th March

Sony is planning to shift its European operations from Britain to the Netherlands in case of a no-deal Brexit.

On 29th March the company will merge its European business with its Dutch branch.

Sony Europe BV was established in May 2018 and the merger documents with Sony Europe Limited were deposited with the Dutch chamber of trade in November.

The news makes Sony the latest company to move their operations from the UK to the Netherlands ahead of Brexit, with the BBC and Discovery also reportedly planning to make the move.
