Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has taken a minority stake in UK indie Blueprint Television.

Founded by producers Graham Broadbent and Pete Czernin in 2005, Blueprint has production credits including The Riot Club, Now Is Good and Becoming Jane.

Andrea Wong, president, international production, SPT, said, “Pete and Graham are exactly the kind of people we want to partner with – hugely creative and highly motivated.

“They already have an incredibly strong development slate and we can’t wait to help them realise their vision for Blueprint Television.

SPT has invested to build upon its strategy to increase its drama footprint to meet the ‘increasing demand’ for high-end drama.

Czernin added, “We’re excited to extend Blueprint’s reach to attract the best talent to tell longer form and returning stories.

“Working with Sony and Andrea and Wayne helps us fulfil the same ambitions we have when we make theatrical films – to entertain audiences around the world with the best stories.”
