Solutions provider pieces together five-leaf DPP sustainability accreditation

Jigsaw24 has announced that it has been awarded top marks in DPP's Committed to Sustainability programme

Media services and technology solutions provider Jigsaw24 has announced that it has been awarded the DPP’s top Committed to Sustainability mark. The ‘five leaf accreditation’ is the highest possible score in the scheme, which was developed by the DPP to enable suppliers in the media industry to demonstrate that they’re working towards reducing their environmental impact.

The DPP Committed to Sustainability programme was established to celebrate and promote good practice throughout the industry, and provides a common framework for procurement teams to analyse the environmental impact of their suppliers.

“While we’re proud of the progress Jigsaw24 has made towards reaching our ambitious sustainability goals, and the reputation we’re earning as vanguards in this vital area, we also recognise that there is still a huge amount of work for us all to do,” said Roger Whittle, founder and CEO of Jigsaw24. “We’ve got unlimited enthusiasm for initiatives like the DPP’s Committed to Sustainability programme and hope that we can inspire our colleagues, customers and supplier partners to adopt as many sustainable business practices as possible.”

The company said that it had previously achieved compliance with a host of environmental standards – such as ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 50001 (energy management) standards – that meant “much of the groundwork for the Committed to Sustainability mark was already in place”.

Jigsaw24 has also committed to pursuing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as well as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard regarding greenhouse gases.

As a leading service and technology supplier to broadcasters, streaming platforms and post-production companies, it’s our responsibility to ensure that our business meets at least the same sustainability targets as those adopted by our clients,” said Jason Cowan, Jigsaw24 Media’s business director. “Sustainability is high on the agenda across all industries, but media’s ability to reach millions of people through content means that it could have an even greater impact than most. Jigsaw24’s DPP accreditation demonstrates our ambitious commitment to supporting the industry’s efforts in this regard.”

The DPP is running an online Sustainability Surgery event on Wednesday 30 March.
