Signiant CTO Ian Hamilton will be hosting a webcast which will take a closer look at current bandwidth latency challenges, and demonstrate how the company’s newest SaaS solution, SkyDrop, can help move large files into the cloud. The webinar takes place on Thursday 24 July at 1:00pm ET/10:00am PT.
Many organisations today are utilising or considering cloud storage, however one of the biggest inhibitors of adoption has been the challenge of getting data and files into the cloud, says Signiant. Speed of delivery is an important factor for some initiatives, and can significantly impact a company’s ability to hit deadlines and manage costs.
Those attending Signiant’s webcast can learn about why and when acceleration matters; how to achieve delivery speeds up to 200 times faster than FTP; and the benefits of a SaaS solution versus others.
SkyDrop features acceleration technology that can upload large files up to 200 times faster than a standard transfer, Signiant claims, providing immediate access to mission-critical data. SkyDrop is designed to remove the need to deploy and maintain software in the cloud. Signiant currently offers the SaaS solution for Amazon S3, with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud on the way, along with support for OpenStack.
