RIST Forum adds seven members

Aims to create industry-wide, interoperable transport solution

The Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) Forum has announced the addition of seven new members.

Cerberus Tech, TheLIVE.agency, Shair Broadcast Technology, Stream Station, Team Stream Live, V-Nova and Videon have joined the RIST Forum, which drives adoption of the interoperable protocol for low-latency video contribution via unmanaged networks, including the internet.

RIST aims to create an industry-wide, interoperable transport solution that can be implemented by any vendor into its equipment. There is already a wide range of IP video delivery equipment that supports RIST, the group said.

Alexander Sandström, RIST Forum co-chair, added: “We welcome our newest members and look forward to working together to roll out RIST implementation across the world, to benefit not only all our members, but to advance the whole of the broadcast industry.”
