Refinery29 to launch VoD service on SkyQ

Deal means content from Refinery29 will be available on SkyQ's online video section.

Refinery29, the digital media company for millennial women, is to launch a VoD service on SkyQ.

The deal means that content from portal will be available on SkyQ’s online video section, which is grouped by theme for users to find entertainment from around the internet.

A range of content will be made available, including shows such Try Living with Lucie, a series about social experiments hosted by Refinery29’s lifestyle producer Lucie Fink, and Game of Life, an intimate profile series about women who overcome dramatic challenges to pursue athletic greatness.

The SkyQ deal is a first for Refinery29 in the UK which has a global monthly audience of 493 million.

Kate Ward, vice-president of international at Refinery29 said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Sky to bring our bold and unique programming to Sky Q.

This partnership with Sky marks an important milestone of our international expansion, recognising our powerful brand and our on-going commitment to bringing our content to audiences wherever they are watching.”
