Platform PR is supporting the upcoming TVBAwards as sponsor of the after show party. The PR and communications company is the first confirmed partner for the event, taking place on Thursday 22 October at Bloomsbury Ballroom, London.
The event, now in its second year, celebrates success across the broadcast industry, with 17 awards covering everything from production and live broadcast, to infrastructure, R&D and sustainability. The shortlist has been drawn up and the winners will be announced on the night, which will include a drinks reception, dinner and aftershow party, sponsored by Platform PR.
The team is behind some of the most talked about companies in the media and TV world. With a track record in digital media, TV and broadcast, Platform provides PR and communications programmes for all kinds of global technology and service providers. Its clients include ADB, Access, Civolution, Ericsson, Piksel and V-Nova.
The TVBAwards are project-based and designed to recognise those providing superior services to the industry. The honours are split into five categories, including five Special Awards presented to companies demonstrating excellence in R&D; PR, marketing and communications; sustainability; start-up/entrepreneur; and outstanding broadcast. Last year proved a huge success, with awards presented to dock10 for popular TV series Happy Valley; EVS for the first multiscreen production and delivery for the FIFA World Cup; Milk VFX for its work on David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D; and Channel 4 for its Sochi Olympic and Paralympic coverage, among others.
Tickets are now available for the TVBAwards 2015 via the event website. This year’s Lifetime Achievement award winner will be announced before the awards ceremony, and will be present to collect the honour on the night. Last year the award celebrated the career and work of Dr David Wood, former deputy technical director of the EBU.
