Riedel has announced Ulrich Voigt has been appointed as director live product solutions.
With a career spanning 28 years in software-based live production, Voigt joins the company taking over the SimplyLive business leadership role from Luc Doneux, and will focus on furthering the integration of the SimplyLive suite into Riedel’s live video solutions strategy in addition to driving growth throughout the business.
Previously global head of product management and cloud transformation at Vizrt, Voigt was instrumental in the company’s transition to cloud-based solutions, with responsibility for the strategic direction of software-based broadcast graphics, automation and live production solutions. He also held the head of design role at Qvest Media and served as a senior lead IT architect for the media and entertainment sector at IBM Global Business Services.
Commenting on the appointment, Voigt said, “I’m thrilled to join Riedel and take the SimplyLive business to new heights. I see great potential in combining SimplyLive’s innovative solutions for replay, review, and integrated production with Riedel’s comprehensive live video, audio and intercom ecosystem. Doneux will pursue new opportunities from January 1st 2006, remaining with Riedel in a consulting capacity to provide strategic guidance to the company.
