The Whisper Group has announced the appointment of Richard Lancaster as its new chief technology officer.
Taking up his new role later this month, Lancaster joins the company following a career that has included three years as senior tech lead at Prime Video and a stint at NEP.
Lancaster has extensive experience working on major live events including five Wimbledon Championships, two Royal Weddings, two Royal Funerals, HM Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee as well as coverage of four Glastonbury Festivals, Olympic and Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, NFL Super Bowl, US Open and Roland Garros tournaments.

The appointment as chief technology officer aims to leverage Lancaster’s experience to enhance Whisper’s offering in providing technical solutions for broadcasters, streamers, rights holders and other commercial partners in the sports and entertainment field, said the company.
