Is Donald Trump preparing to launch a rival to Netflix?

Trump's media company is looking at the possibility of a long-term tech stack, which would involve creating rivals to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure

Donald Trump is reportedly considering launching a “non-woke” streaming service to take on the likes of Netflix and Disney Plus.

Last week Trump announced the launch of the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), with one of its first projects set to be an alternative to Twitter.

According to Insider, TMTG is also said to be planning a competitor to outlets like CNN, while a service called TMTG+ will focus on creating a rival to the likes of Netflix and Disney Plus.

“TMTG+ is an on-demand streaming service that will provide news, big-tent entertainment, exciting documentaries, sports programming, and more,” says a pitch deck for the company. “The American public is seeking ‘non-woke’ entertainment, and TMTG+ will provide content for all to enjoy.”

The document also includes plans for a “long-term opportunity TMTG tech stack,” which could involve creating rivals to Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

Trump will serve as the chairman of TMTG, which says its mission is to “create a rival to the liberal media consortium and fight back against the ‘Big Tech’ companies of Silicon Valley.”
