People on the move – August 2010

All this month's new hirings, from Analog Way to T-VIPS.

Two new management appointments at Omneon in Europe: Carlos Ferreira is the new Southern Europe manager and Jayson Chase (pictured) joins as channel sales manager for Northern EMEA. Ferreira was previously Southern Europe manager at Snell Group, and Chase has more than 14 years experience with Avid and root6 – he will be based in Basingstoke, reporting to Director of Channel Sales Andy Brinck.

Analog Way UK, the recently opened direct sales office for the British market, is expanding its activities with relocation to a new facility, hiring of a new sales manager and organisation of a one-week roadshow in August through England. Located in London, the new office offers more space in order to integrate training facilities and reinforce customer service. New Area Sales Manager Andrew Smith has joined Régis Pirot to run the new office.

Frank Altmeier is the new sales manager at Annova Systems headquarters in Munich. His roles will include acquiring new customers in North-, Central- and Southern Europe and the American continent. Altmeier was previously sales manager Germany for Data Direct Networks.

Graham Day has joined ATG Broadcast as managing director. Day has previously worked for Granada TV, Avid Europe and Emirates Media – and most recently consulted with the Al Dafrah Group.

Clear-Com has promoted Bob Boster to vice president of Worldwide Sales. Boster joined Clear-Com in 2006 as a regional sales manager, and was then promoted to director of sales for Americas and Asia-Pacific.

Phil Jackson has joined Front Porch Digital’s management team in the new position of chief marketing officer. Jackson has enjoyed a successful 25-year career spanning communications, media, and information technology. Front Porch has also added to regional sales managers for EAME: Noelle Prat-Vong and Nicole Jacquemin are both assigned to expand the installation base for the company’s SAMMA products.

Harris Broadcast Communications has recently appointed Patricio Arias as regional sales manager for Spain and Portugal. He joins Harris from Bienvenido Gil, one of Spain’s best-known systems integrators.

Paul Newman has been promoted to senior vice president, International Technical Operations, NBCU, it was announced by Ian Trombley, executive vice president, Technical Operations, NBCU, to whom he reports. Newman has been with NBCU for over two years and prior to that was VP Network Operations at Discovery Networks Europe.

At Nevion, Arne-Johan Martinsen is the new product manager responsible for its Flashlink range of products. He’ll be based in Sandefjord, Norway and will be responsible for the strategy and roadmap for the Flashlink range of products.

Three Media Associates has appointed James Doddington as its chief technical officer. Doddington has been an associate of the company since its foundation in 2009 and has led major client projects on their behalf.

Utah Scientific today is expanding its worldwide market presence and its management team with the appointment of Reto Brader to a new position, general manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Brader comes to Utah Scientific most recently from Pixelmetrix, where he also served as EMEA general manager.

T-VIPS has appointed Lutz Germer to be regional sales manager, Germany. Germer is based in Berlin and has previously worked for Barco, Grass Valley and BTS/Philips.
