There is still one week left to enter nominations for the first TVBAwards, to be held at a ceremony this October at the Hilton London Wembley. Award categories cover Capture, Workflow and Delivery, with a fourth category of Special Awards honouring Lifetime Achievement, Sustainability, Marketing Campaign and Outstanding Broadcast.
TVBEurope’s inaugural event, held in partnership with TV Technology Europe will present 13 Awards to honour excellence in the broadcasting industry, and nominations can be entered by anyone working in the industry. Any project which took place between 1 June 2013 and 8 August can be entered, via the Awards website.
The Capture award comprises three categories:
Beyond HD Achievement will be presented to a company or in-house team responsible for outstanding use of new and innovative image capture technologies in a live or recorded TV programme.
Achievement in Sports Broadcast will honour the broadcaster of a live or recorded TV programme covering a single sporting event or tournament, which has distinguished itself through extraordinary standards of production and innovation.
Achievement in FX will be given to a company or companies responsible for creating outstanding visual effects or graphics appearing in a live or recorded TV programme.
Nominations can be submitted until midnight Friday 8 August, and winners will be selected by an independent judging panel.
