New two year term for Dagmar Driesnack as SMPTE elects 2026 officers

All officers will serve a two-year term from January 1st 2026, to December 31st 2027

SMPTE has announced its board officers and regional governors.

Appear’s Dagmar Driesnack has been re-elected as governor for the EMEA, Central and South America region, and will serve a further two year term in the role which commenced on January 1st. Also re-elected were Tony Meerakker of Meer Tech Systems for the Canada region and Riedel Communications’ Sara Seidel, who remains in position as USA – Eastern region governor.

The following new regional governors were elected:

  • Paul Whybrow, Varda Creative Leadership – Asia-Pacific Region Governor
  • Andre Normil, FanDuel Sports Network – USA – Southern Region Governor
  • Catherine Meininger, Portrait Displays – USA – Western Region Governor

Alongside them, two new officers have been elected with Chris Lapp becoming SMPTE membership vice president and Troy English taking on the finance vice president role. Raymond Yeung will continue to serve as SMPTE standards VP for another two-year term.
