NEP has appointed Malcolm Cowan as head of technology at NEP Bow Tie, part of NEP Media Solutions division and the wider NEP Worldwide Network.
Cowan brings more than 32 years of broadcast experience to the role, having previously run post production for major overseas events ranging from Olympic Games to World Cups.
Prior to joining NEP, Cowan was head of technology for the BT Sport Production Hub, working closely with BT Sport to adapt and develop facilities and workflows to suit programme needs.
Cowan said: “NEP is renowned across the world for its outstanding contributions to live productions. There remains a significant opportunity to further highlight the company’s sophisticated solutions, particularly as it looks to transition to IP and remote workflows. I’m excited to join such an iconic brand and look forward to collaborating with customers to future-proof workflows.”
