NAB’s Gordon Smith suffers stroke

President and CEO of NAB is expected to make a full recovery

NAB president and CEO Gordon Smith has been admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke.

“He is responding well to treatment, is stable and alert, and is resting comfortably,” said NAB. “His prognosis is good, and he is expected to make a full recovery.”

Smith is a former two-term US Senator from Oregon.

He joined NAB in November 2009 and, in 2017, extended his contract with the organisation until March 2023.
