NAB show visitor numbers rise

NAB News: Attendance at NAB 2011 was almost 5,000 up on last year, according to the National Association of Broadcasters.

Cementing its place as “the world’s largest electronic media event covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums”, it had 92,708 registered visitors this year, 25,691 of whom were from outside the US, with 151 countries represented. This compares to a total of 88,044 in 2010.

“Content professionals from across the globe flock to the NAB Show every year, and this year was no exception,” said NAB Executive Vice President Dennis Wharton. “We’re thrilled to host the largest media and entertainment convention annually, and delighted that the NAB Show remains the premiere event for the industry.”

The Las Vegas show also had more than 1,500 exhibitors.
