Belfast-based Latens won its award for exports for the first time after doubling its exports over three years.

“We are thrilled that Latens has received the Queen’s Award for the first time,” said Jeremy Thorp, founder and CEO at Latens. “We have an excellent team of people working at Latens, all of whom have contributed to our growth. We all take pride in being recognised for our business success by such a prestigious award.”

Vinten, meanwhile, has been recognised for its continuous innovation and development with its Perfect Balance technology – a unique engineering solution for professional television camera support – with an Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.

“This outstanding recognition is a fitting tribute to the continuing success of the Vinten brand and its employees as it celebrates its 100th anniversary, an unprecedented achievement in its own right in the film and television industry” said Roger Wilson, Managing Director.
