L-S-B renamed Lawo

L-S-B Broadcast Technology has been renamed as Lawo and integrated into the Lawo company structure

L-S-B Broadcast Technology has been renamed as Lawo and integrated into the Lawo company structure.

The German developer’s products, such as VSM and theWALL, will now be marketed under the Lawo brand.

The companies have worked closely together in previous years, and claim their unification allows them to reach their common goal of advancing their VSM product as a manufacturer-independent control system, as well as establishing multiviewer control software theWALL to the worldwide market.

Jamie Dunn, (pictured, right) head of global sales at Lawo, said, “Our customers will benefit from this integration in many ways. The additional R&D resources within Lawo and the extensive expertise in user interface design complement the existing capacity of the present Lawo team in Wiesbaden in order to develop the VSM toolbox and user experience even further.

“These expanded resources will enable VSM and theWALL to evolve even faster and better suited to customers’ needs and requirements.”

Under the new structure, service, support, and project management with a focus on R&D for VSM and theWALL will remain in Wiesbaden, whereas sales will be served via Lawo in Rastatt.

Andreas Hilmer, (pictured, left) director of marketing and communications, said, “With this step we have reached a new level of R&D power, knowhow and experience. By extending the Lawo portfolio of IP-based network, video and audio products with solutions for overall and comprehensive control, we serve the broadcast industry by in-depth integration of VSM even better by offering turnkey-solutions from one source.

“Lawo will advance VSM and theWALL while keeping them the manufacturer-independent solution supporting more third party equipment than any other solution available. This open approach perfectly fits in with the Lawo philosophy of supporting open standards for the benefit of all customers.”
