High profile speakers from ITV, the Digital TV Group (DTG) and Ernst & Young (EY) will be presenting at the inaugural TVBEurope 2020 conference, to be held at London’s BAFTA on Tuesday 30 June.

Rowan de Pomerai, senior technical manager, studios at ITV, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, will give a masterclass on file-based content delivery on behalf of the Digital Production Partnership (DPP).

He is technology lead for ITV’s Production Modernisation programme, developing the next generation of production tools and processes for ITV Studios. De Pomerai is also production technology lead for the DPP and one of the Delivery Group members for ITV.

Also on the speaker line-up is Simon Gauntlett, chief technology officer, at the Digital TV Group (DTG), who will discuss consumer trends and their influence on the professional environment. The consumer is now in the driving seat: products and services thrive or die based upon the success of consumer adoption. New services have a significant impact upstream in the programme production and distribution chain. So, what are the latest developments in consumer services and how will they influence professional applications?

Joining Guantlett on the same panel is Martyn Whistler (pictured), lead analyst, media and entertainment at Ernst and Young. Whistler is EY’s lead analyst for Media and Entertainment. With over fifteen years’ experience in analyst and consulting roles, Whistler’s focus has always been on media and entertainment. In early 2012, he joined EY having previously worked at McKinsey & Company. Prior to McKinsey, he began his professional career at SNL Kagan.
