Ikegami Electronics has appointed three new specialist dealers in the UK, Broadcast Production Services, TNP Broadcast and WTS Broadcast /C2S Systems, for its new range of lower-cost dockable HD/SD studio, ENG and PoV cameras and monitors, writes David Fox.
It sees the introduction of the new HDK-97A dockable camera and new LCD monitors as opening up a new market for it.
Features on the highly-specified dockable HDK-97A camera include: 1.5/3G switchable fibre adaptor; 62dB signal to noise, dual HD-SDI outputs; 16-bit A/D; 38-bit internal processing, a choice of triax or fibre output, iLAC (Lens Aberration Correction); support for 1080i/720p and 3G HDTV formats (including 1080 50/60p 4:2:2 or 1080i 4:4:4) – the HDK-97AP adds support for the 1080p 23.98Hz format.
Its new monitor range includes high-specification full HD 17-inch, 24-inch and 32-inch LCDs, and low-cost 9-inch and 17-inch LCDs, The dealers will also carry its Grade One 19-inch CRT monitor and PoV cameras for Gyro and specialist needs.
“This new market sector needed special and strategically-aligned dealers who are well established, well respected and are already known for their willingness to offer help, advice and system installation,” said a statement.
To coincide with these appointments, Ikegami is also offering: two year 0% finance on all of its products, a 24-month extended warranty, free on-site operational, maintenance and service training, and free telephone operational, maintenance and service support.
