Located in Manchester's Spinningfields district, the course aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge and industry insight for a career in the creative sector

Global Academy has announced the opening of a new media course at its Manchester site.

Successful applicants to the course, which is free and open to school and college leavers aged 18, will study two days a week between September and May, working towards a Level 4 Professional Diploma in Creative Enterprise, created by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body.

Global Academy has partnered with industry experts and said the course, which will be located in Manchester’s Spinningfields district, aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge and industry insight for a career in the creative sector. Its three study units are titled: The Creative Entrepreneur, The Creative Practitioner and The Creative Enterprise development project.

Jonathan Jacob, director of specialism at Global Academy, said: “It’s fantastic that we’re able to bring our specialist training to the North West to help kick-start the careers of young creatives in the region. Manchester has such a rich creative history so it’s the perfect place to launch the second Global Academy.”
