Gearhouse Broadcast launches online auctions

Broadcasters are being offered a new way to buy state-of-the-art professional broadcast equipment as Gearhouse Broadcast announces the launch of its very own online auction service this month.

Broadcasters are being offered a new way to buy state-of-the-art professional broadcast equipment as Gearhouse Broadcast announces the launch of its very own online auction service this month.

The e-auction facility is a feature of Gearhouse Broadcast’s improved and redesigned website, and allows the company’s sales division to group together ‘lots’ of new and used broadcast equipment and offer customers potentially huge savings on professional broadcast equipment.

Interested parties are invited to register for the first auction, to be held on Wednesday, 24th November at 9am by going onto http://www.gearhousebroadcast.com/uk/equipment-sales/e-auctions and completing the simple registration form.

The newly developed e-auction will allow registered users to manage their bids from the comfort of their own office or even while they’re on the move. They will be able to receive automatic alerts of higher bids, time remaining and the minimum increment required to stay in the auction.

Some of the assets on the slate for the first auction include cameras and camcorders, camera lenses, VTRs and vision mixers and controllers plus much more.

Gearhouse Broadcast Managing Director, Eamonn Dowdall, said: “We are always looking for new ways to engage with our customers and find ways to offer them the best possible value we can through our sales division. We recently significantly improved our website and the technology behind it, and are now very proud to finally announce the launch of our new e-auction service of professional broadcast equipment.”

All registered, potential bidders will regularly be kept up to date on all upcoming auctions via e-mail alerts and will have full access to Gearhouse Broadcast online catalogue.

The catalogue for the first ever e-auction will be available to view online for registered users from 17th November 2010. Users will be able to start biding from 9am on the 24th November 2010 until the sale closes on 1st December 2010 at 2pm.
