French audiovisual watchdog CSA and anti-piracy body Hadopi have begun preparations for their merger in January 2021.
The two organisations will combine to form the Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority (Arcom).
The presidents of the two regulators, Roch-Olivier Maistre (CSA) and Denis Rapone (Hadopi), have signed an agreement at the Ministry of Culture in the presence of Minister Franck Riester.
Parliament is due to examine the merger in April, leading to the creation of Arcom on 25th January 2021.
