TalkTalk has announced a deal with FilmFlex Movies to bring its customers hundreds more movies on demand, with more new releases available to rent on the same day as their DVD release. Subscribers to both TalkTalk’s Essentials TV and Plus TV packages will benefit from the multi-year deal.

TalkTalk’s YouView customers will also receive a wider range of films, with first-run on demand content from all the major Hollywood studios, plus leading independents such as Entertainment One Films and StudioCanal, and specialist distributors.

FilmFlex will be responsible for sourcing and curating film content, as well as supplying technology for customers to watch films on mobile devices. New titles coming to TalkTalk as part of the deal include Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, 12 Years a Slave, Dallas Buyers Club and American Hustle.

“We have big ambitions for the service and continue to develop and enhance our offering to give our customers even more of the TV and films they love, all at a great TalkTalk price,” commented Tristia Harrison, managing director, TalkTalk Consumer. “This partnership with the movie specialist expertise of FilmFlex will help take us to the next level and gives our TV customers even more of the best content.”
