EVS undergoes rebrand to reflect ‘ambitious new reality’

The new brand identity will be rolled out across all communications, products and platforms in the coming months, said the company

EVS today announced it is changing its corporate name from EVS Broadcast Equipment to simply EVS, which it said marks a defining moment in the company’s ongoing transformation into a global technology leader for live video production.

CEO Serge van Herck commented, “This name evolution reflects the reality of what EVS has become today and where we are heading tomorrow.”

Since its launch in 1994, the company has continuously expanded its portfolio and capabilities, providing end-to-end solutions as a trusted technology partner across live video production. EVS offers a comprehensive ecosystem including infrastructure, content management, AI-driven solutions, production robotics and more. The new name better captures this broader reality, said the company.

The simplification also signals EVS’s strategic ambition, as its technologies are deployed across more diverse markets, including live news production, entertainment, corporate environments, venues, and emerging applications.

EVS said it has positioned itself at the forefront of the industry shift towards software-defined architectures, cloud deployments and AI-powered workflows, with solutions designed for seamless operation across on-premise, hybrid and cloud environments to meet the changing demands of live production.

“Our broadcast heritage remains a strong foundation, but our ambition extends much further. We now deliver a full ecosystem of solutions that enable our customers to produce and deliver live content in the most demanding environments, across industries and platforms. Simplifying our name is a natural step to better represent this transformation and to support our continued international growth,” said van Herck.
