The English Club TV channel hits TV and mobile in Lebanon

EСTV Network Limited and Digidata LEB SARL have signed a deal to bring an edutainment channel to television and mobile audiences across the Republic of Lebanon.

The English Club TV channel and its educational content are already available for viewers through the IPTV-Multi Screen System (TV, mobile, tablet and PC) as well as VoD services to support English language learning in the Republic of Lebanon.

In talking about the new offering, Andrew Semchenko, CEO of the English Club TV Group, said: “English is increasingly used in science and business interactions in Lebanon. English is also used as a second language in 30% of Lebanon’s secondary schools. We can see that the demand for quality English language education is accelerating in Lebanon.

“Using the innovative educational content available from the English Club TV channel, together with Digidata we are creating unique and easily accessible environment for those who want to start learning or improve their English in Lebanon in innovative and exciting way.”

Commenting on the new partnership, Eng. Saad Al Jamal, CEO of Digidata LEB, said: “Lebanese people are known for their business skills. That fact along with modern globalisation and international business exchange forces us to have strong language skills, for our generation and more particularly for the generations to come. Children receive their education not only from their parents and their schools but educational TV also has an influential role in developing their minds and improving their foreign language skills.
