EBU, NBA renew partnership for global distribution

Partnership now runs through to the 2021-22 season

The European Broadcasting Union’s distributor Eurovision and the National Basketball Association (NBA) have renewed their partnership through to the 2021-22 season.

The deal means Eurovision will transmit live NBA games, NBA TV and other NBA programming to the league’s international television and digital media partners.

Eurovision and the NBA began their partnership in 2012 to ensure basketball fans around the world can follow their teams and see NBA action. The agreement will see Eurovision continue to deliver programming to NBA broadcast partners throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Eurovision will also set up the contribution satellite uplinks from the venues for the preseason NBA China Games 2017 taking place in Shenzhen and Shanghai in October, as well as the regular-season game – NBA London Game 2018 – at the O2 Arena in London in January.

“We’re proud to remain the partner of choice for the NBA when it comes to distributing NBA games and programming around the globe,” said Graham Warren, chief operating officer of Eurovision Media Services.

“Live sports services are a key part of our business and we look forward to working closely together in the years to come.”
