DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing: 2021 must be a year of ‘doing’

DPP has published the report from its annual event bringing together senior execs from 30 major media companies.

The DPP has published a summary of its Tech Leaders’ Briefing event for 2020, where senior executives from 30 major media companies each shared their three strategic priorities.

The most prominent themes were around business and workforce transformation, the need to move beyond broadcast-centred thinking, the importance of building fully integrated operations, and the urgency of creating diverse and inclusive workforces.

“The purpose of the DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing is to generate more focused business intelligence than any other industry event,” said DPP CEO Mark Harrison. “The event has become a barometer for the state of the industry, and this year the pressure was high, and the temperature hot. There was a real insistence in the messages shared by these senior leaders.”

“This was a very action-orientated group of senior executives,” added Harrison. “It was clear that, for them, 2021 must be a year of doing. And they only want to work with companies that understand their business goals.”
