DAZN wins Serie A rights, confirms TIM distribution deal

Sports streamer has won the rights to Serie A matches for the next three seasons

Sports streamer DAZN has acquired the rights to broadcast all 10 Serie A matches per week beginning with the 2021/2022 season.

The deal will see the streamer show live and on demand coverage of every Serie A match, according to DAZN it will more than treble its existing coverage of the competition, which began in 2018 with the sports streaming platform showing 114 matches per season.

DAZN has also confirmed the rumoured deal with Telecom Italia, which will bring the streaming service’s to TIMVISION for the next three years.

Back in February, TVBEurope reported DAZN was said to have signed a deal with Telecom Italia that includes distribution and technological support as well as financing of around €1 billion for its bid to broadcast the next three seasons of Serie A.
