Dalet and OKNO TV to present at IT Broadcast Workflow

OKNO TV and Dalet have joined the line up for this year’s ITBW, as Gold Sponsor and Silver Sponsor for the conference

OKNO TV and Dalet have joined the line up for this year’s IT Broadcast Workflow, as Gold Sponsor and Silver Sponsor for the conference, returning to BAFTA London on 8 July. The companies will partner to present a case study on the creation of RT’s state-of-the-art studio complex, developed by OKNO and featuring Dalet technology.

Since the launch of its flagship news channel in 2005, RT (formerly Russia Today) has grown to include five international TV channels, a video agency and new media presence, expanding its reach to 630 million people across five continents. The network’s aim was to establish a studio complex that would accommodate all of its current and future channels, as well as streamline information exchange between old media and new media platforms; to do this in the shortest possible time; and to migrate the round-the-clock broadcasts to HD in realtime, without any disruptions for the audience.
At IT Broadcast Workflow, speakers from OKNO TV and Dalet will discuss the challenges and achievements of the project, including the development of a huge SD-HDI infrastructure. On completion of the project, Margarita Simonyan, RT’s editor in chief, commented: “Successful execution of such a complex and exceptional task would not have been possible without close collaboration between RT and OKNO-TV’s teams every step of the way.”
IT Broadcast Workflow is a full day of case studies focusing on the ever-changing landscape of file-based workflows. The event also features a networking lunch as well as an Expo Zone in BAFTA’s David Lean Room.
Tickets for IT Broadcast Workflow are still available, and can be ordered at the ITBW website.
