Cloudio TV to migrate Brazil’s Globo subs to OTT

Brazil’s commercial broadcaster Globo has embarked on a programme to migrate its subscribers to the international TV multiplatform Cloudio TV using OTT services.

Brazil’s commercial broadcaster Globo has embarked on a programme to migrate its subscribers to the international TV multiplatform Cloudio TV using OTT services, reports Broadband TV News.

Cloudio TV has an OTT infrastructure offering subscriptions to premium content across multiple devices, including its own proprietary OTT streaming set-top box, other set-top boxes and connected TV’s.

Cloudio TV is offering a multiplatform access solution, backend services such as subscriber and bouquet management, payment/billing, content delivery, six day a week multilingual call centre based in the UK, a network distribution resellers of boxes across Europe, Cloudio TV will take control of the delivery of Globo’s current linear channel for all the subscribers using the systems developed by Southern Cloud using it’s own end-to-end OTT platform in Europe.

“We are committed to supply all aspects of the service, provide support in Portuguese and we are looking forward to seamlessly migrating the current customers to our service. We did it before with Sun TV Network (Asia’s most profitable media corporations and the largest TV network) and we will do it again with Globo,” said Cloudio TV CEO, David Vargas-Racero.
