Civolution and Tagvance launch app first in Turkey

Civolution and Tagvance, provider of ready-to-operate second screen solutions, have announced the launch of the first Turkish cross-TV-channel, cross-screen app for mobile devices.

Civolution and Tagvance, provider of ready-to-operate second screen solutions, have announced the launch of the first Turkish cross-TV-channel, cross-screen app for mobile devices. In partnership with Samsung Electronics Turkey, for the Galaxy S5, the app has been produced for the finale of Turkish TV series Kara Para Aşk.

The app, developed by Tagvance, integrates Civolution’s SyncNow audio watermarking-based Automatic Content Recognition technology, enabling users to interact with the TV series in realtime as episodes air on Turkey’s ATV. Users can access additional show content, participate in synchronised quizzes and polls, gain points, and unlock videos produced by Samsung Galaxy S5.

The campaign is led by LiquidThread Turkey, the content division of Starcom MediaVest Group on behalf of Samsung Turkey, partnering with content producer Ay Yapım and broadcaster ATV.

“We have not only delivered a unique second screen experience for viewers of Kara Para Aşk, but also started a new innovative era full of opportunities provided by synchronised apps for companies and TV channels in Turkey,” said Can Kiral, CEO, Tagvance. “Through our collaboration with Civolution, LiquidThread, Starcom and Samsung Electronics Turkey, we have developed a perfectly synchronised application that enables product placement and call-to-action activities at precisely the right time.”
