Broadcast names remain in the frame for Premier League’s top job

Discovery's Susannah Dinnage decided not to take the role

The Premier League is said to be considering some of the UK broadcast industry’s top executives as it begins a new search for a chief executive.

The EPL had announced Discovery’s Susannah Dinnage had accepted the role in November, however she has now decided to remain with the broadcaster.

According to reports, the League is now considering Tim Davie from BBC Studios and ITV’s director of strategy, Tom Betts. Both are said to have been on the initial shortlist before Dinnage’s appointment.

The Premier League’s new chief executive will take over from executive chairman Richard Scudamore, who was appointed in 1999 and left his role with a controversial £5 million bonus.
