Avid returns to IBC

Avid CEO Jeff Rosica said the company is confident that the improving conditions and handling of the pandemic can help to ensure that IBC 2022 can be successful

Avid has announced it will be exhibiting at IBC 2022, despite originally stating it intended to sit all trade shows out in 2022.

The company said it will return to the floor after “noting the improved global conditions related to Covid-19, including the safe and effective execution of recent trade shows”.

Speaking about the company’s decision, Avid CEO Jeff Rosica said: “We’re confident that the improving conditions and handling of the pandemic can help to ensure that IBC 2022 can be a successful gathering for our industry.

“This trade show will mark the start of our gradual return to exhibiting our solutions, but with a more limited scope than previous years, so we can focus on our customers’ most pressing needs, including remote collaboration and migrating their workflows to the cloud,” he added.

“Avid’s product innovation has accelerated over the last two years. We have a lot to show and we’re pleased to have this exhibition back in our marketing mix especially for the convenience of our many enterprise customers across in broadcast, film and post production.”

Avid’s decision follows Sony’s announcement earlier this week that it will also be back at IBC 2022.
