Avid among recipients at 70th Engineering Emmy Awards

Wendy Aylsworth to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Avid will be honoured at the 70th Engineering Emmy Awards in Los Angeles later this month.

The company is being presented with the Philo T Farnsworth Corporate Achievement Award in recognition of contributions over time that have “substantially impacted television technology and engineering.”

Former SMPTE president Wendy Alysworth will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Five Engineering Emmys will be presented during the ceremony. They will be awarded for the Artemis Director’s Viewfinder, cineSync review and approval system, Codex recording platform and capture media, Blue Mix-Fi headphones and GroundControl Followspot system.

Also during the evening, an Engineering Plaque will be awarded to the makers of the CATS Cam for wildlife filmmakers.
