A+E’s Eglau to step down

A+E Networks has announced chief operating officer and general manager for Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA Nicolas Eglau is stepping down from his role.

Eglau is leaving the UK-arm of the company in order to pursue new challenges according to an official statement. He will remain as an adviser until the end of August.

An announcement on Eglau’s successor will follow at a later date.

Eglau joined A+E in 2015 from RTL in the Netherlands.

Dean Possenniskie, MD of A+E Networks EMEA, said: “Nicolas has played a formative role in further driving growth of A+E Networks UK since 2015. He has been pivotal in developing and executing a successful long-term strategy for the company with the strong teams he recruited and developed.

“Under his leadership, our presence across the company’s international markets has grown significantly. I am pleased that Nicolas will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity through to the summer.”

Eglau added: “I’m extremely grateful for a fantastic time at A+E Networks UK. I’ve very much enjoyed working with Dean and the team. It’s been exciting to be part of the growth and transformation of the company and I’m very proud of the success we have achieved together. I wish A+E Networks every success for the future.”
