The arrival of 5G will have the biggest impact on the consumption of content according to the findings of a poll carried out by TVBEurope.
As part of our State of Play: How will 5G change broadcast webinar, the audience was asked to vote for where they thought 5G would have the biggest impact: production, distribution or consumption.
The audience overwhelming chose consumption with it receiving almost half of the votes cast, 47.1 per cent.
Production came second with 29.4 per cent of the votes, followed by distribution with 23.5 per cent.
The webinar featured a discussion with BT Sport’s director of mobile Matt Stagg with topics including traffic volume for mobile operators, how 5G can be used for remote production, and network slicing costs.
