The Institute of Professional Sound is once again staging its free one-day event for professionals working across film, television, radio, production and post production this autumn.
The IPS Pro-Audio Show will take place at The Hub at London Southbank University on Saturday 10th October.
Attendees will be able to explore new equipment, discuss emerging technology and production challenges, and connect with colleagues from across the sector.
“Sound technology is evolving rapidly across film, television, radio, studios, live events and games, but professionals working across those sectors rarely have the opportunity to come together, compare experiences and discuss how those developments are changing the way they work,” said IPS Pro-Audio Show coordinator Ian Sands.
“Sound is one of those disciplines where many can work in isolation until a day like this comes along. Broadcast and film technicians don’t often get to compare notes with colleagues working in games audio, but the problems they’re solving are closer than people think. It can be the same for a location sound recordist and someone mixing a podcast in their bedroom studio, or someone mixing dialogue for a high-end drama, it is different worlds, but the same instincts. That’s the value of putting the whole community in one room for a day.”
The Show will also include a programme of free seminar sessions which will take place in the IPS Talks Zone. Speakers, topics and further event details will be announced before the event.
